Coming to iPhone. Happy Medium is preparing for outside testing and is not yet available for public App Store download. These instructions will be checked against the final release.

How to use Happy Medium

Start with what feels useful and return whenever you want to reflect.

  1. Use the Daily Log for a brief check-in. Record only what you choose.
  2. Open Tools for structured reflection, planning, reminders, and resources.
  3. Review Trends & Insights to look back at changes and possible patterns in what you recorded.
  4. Use Settings to adjust reminders, appearance, App Lock, language, and data options.

Contact support

Need help with Happy Medium?

Email support@happymediumapps.com. Tell us your iPhone model, iOS and app versions if known, what you were trying to do, what happened, and the steps that reproduce the problem. An error message or a screenshot with personal details removed may help.

Please do not send Daily Log entries, crisis-plan content, medical details, backup files, or other sensitive information unless it is genuinely necessary for your request.

First things to try

  1. Close and reopen Happy Medium. If the issue continues, restart your iPhone.
  2. Check for available app and iOS updates.
  3. If the problem concerns a particular entry or tool, note which screen and action caused it so you can describe it to support.

Before deleting or reinstalling the app: If you can still open it, create and save a complete JSON backup somewhere you can find it. Data stored only on the device may be lost when the app or its storage is removed.

Exports, backups, and restore

How do I keep a copy of my information?

Use the app's export and backup controls to export Daily Logs as CSV, worksheets as PDF, or a complete local JSON backup. A JSON backup can contain sensitive information. Choose a safe location for it; the app does not automatically upload it to an app cloud account or synchronize it across devices.

What happens when I restore a backup?

Restoring a complete JSON backup replaces the active app data on that device. Check that you selected the intended file, and make a current backup first if you want to preserve what is there now. The app keeps a local recovery copy during restoration to help roll back if the restore fails.

Can support recover information from my phone?

Happy Medium Apps does not receive your locally saved entries or keep a cloud copy in the first release. If data is lost and you have no saved backup, support may not be able to recover it.

Reminders and notifications

Reminders use your iPhone's local notifications. If one does not appear, check the reminder in Happy Medium, then check iPhone Settings for the app's notification permission and whether Focus or notification settings are silencing it. Reminder text may appear on your lock screen according to your iPhone settings. No reminder is sent from a Happy Medium server.

App Lock

If App Lock does not open as expected, check that Face ID, Touch ID, or a device passcode is set up and working on your iPhone. Try the device passcode when it is offered. App Lock is an additional access control for opening or returning to the app; it does not encrypt files you have exported. If you remain locked out, email support with your device and iOS details, without sending your entries or backup file.

Deleting local data

You can delete individual records in the app, or use the “Delete all local data” control in Settings to remove app-managed data on this device and cancel scheduled reminders. This does not remove files you previously exported, copies you shared, support emails, or App Store records. Save a backup first if you want to keep a copy.

Common questions

How do I create a Daily Log?

Open Daily Log, complete the fields you want to record, and save. You can customize the logging points directly, review questionnaire suggestions, or start with a standard template from Tools.

How do Trends work?

Trends summarize entries you recorded across a selected period. They support reflection on changes and possible patterns; they do not identify causes or provide a diagnosis.

How do I change the language?

Open Settings, choose Language, and select English or Español. Changing the interface language does not translate or alter entries you have saved. The Privacy Policy and Terms are currently available in English.

Do I need an account?

No. The planned first iPhone release has no app account sign-in, cloud backup, or cross-device synchronization.

Is Happy Medium therapy or medical care?

No. It is a self-guided tracking and reflection app, not therapy, medical treatment, diagnosis, or an emergency service.

Where can I read the policies?

See the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Both website versions remain drafts for owner and legal review before public release.
