About Happy Medium and eligibility
Happy Medium™ is a self-guided tracking and reflection app from Happy Medium Apps™. It is intended only for adults age 18 or older. You must confirm that you are at least 18 before using app features.
Personal-use license
You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal purposes, subject to these Terms and any applicable platform rules. The app, its original content, and its branding remain the property of their respective owners. This license does not transfer ownership of the app to you.
Your responsibilities
- Confirm that you are at least 18 and use the app lawfully.
- Do not copy, distribute, or reverse-engineer the app except where applicable law permits.
- Use template suggestions and examples as general reflection aids, not personalized medical advice.
- Maintain appropriate device security and protect any exported or backup files.
Your content and local data
You retain your rights in the entries, notes, plans, and other content you create. The planned first iPhone release stores this content on your device and does not give Happy Medium Apps a license to use it. If you voluntarily send content in a support request, you authorize us to use it only as reasonably needed to respond, troubleshoot, protect the app, or comply with law.
You are responsible for making and safeguarding any exports or backups you want to keep. There is no app cloud backup or cross-device synchronization in the first release. Uninstalling the app, clearing its storage, restoring a backup, or losing a device can affect locally stored data. App Lock is an additional access control and does not protect exported files or replace a secure device passcode and operating-system updates. See the Privacy Policy for more detail.
App materials and calculations
Educational content, starter examples, prompts, calculations, translations, and links to outside material may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. They are provided for general information and self-reflection and should not be relied on as medical, legal, safety, or emergency advice. Trends & Insights describe recorded information; they do not establish causes or diagnoses.
Medical and emergency limits
The app is not a healthcare provider, therapist, medical device, diagnostic tool, treatment, or crisis-response service. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent medical or mental health conditions and does not replace qualified professional care. If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. In the U.S., call or text 988 for crisis support.
External services and links
External websites, app stores, email services, and other third-party services are operated by their own providers. A link does not mean Happy Medium Apps endorses a provider. Their terms and privacy policies govern your use of those services.
Updates and availability
The app may receive updates, fixes, content revisions, or feature changes. Features may be added, modified, suspended, or discontinued, and an app or operating-system update may be needed for continued use. We do not guarantee that every feature or external resource will always be available or that a backup from one app version will work with every later version.
Platform terms and payments
Your download and use may also be subject to Apple's App Store terms and a platform license, including Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement when applicable. These Terms do not replace mandatory platform terms. The planned first release is free, with no subscriptions or paid feature tiers. If payment features are enabled later, their terms and provider information will be described before launch.
Warranties and liability
The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by applicable law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Happy Medium Apps and its developer disclaim liability for damages arising from use or misuse of the app or reliance on its information. These statements do not exclude any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. These provisions require qualified legal review before public release.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the app changes. The current version and its effective date will be made available with the app, and material changes will be presented for consent when required.
